Thulasiram Naidu

Mr. Thulasiram Naidu is the epitome of “entrepreneurship.” After his graduation in Commerce & Management, he and his elder sibling established a start-up in an audio recording in 1980. Though, the team faced daunting challenges they grew from an unknown entity to a huge behemoth in the name of “Lahari Recording Company” in Bengaluru. The company gave a helping hand to many musicians, singers, sound engineers, and the accompanying personnel. ‘Lahari’ was instrumental in revolutionizing the music cassette field. Released the first cassettes of many musicians who later became famous, such as Sr. A. R. Rahman, an internationally acclaimed musician, and an Oscar Awardee. ‘Lahari’ released his first album.

‘Lahari’ released cassettes and CDs operated pan India and abroad. Apart from that, the company gave a lifeline to many folklore singers, who otherwise could not have come to the forefront. Divine Tides – a music album By Ricky Khej released thru Lahari Music won the prestigious Grammy Award for Best New Age Ambient or Chant Album at the 64th Grammy Awards held in Las Vegas. ‘Lahari’ is now a household name in the entertainment industry.

With the intention of serving the general public by giving them exposure to the world around truthfully, and responsibly, ‘Lahari’ entered the television media along with other stakeholders and aptly named it ‘PUBLIC TV.’ Today, the news channel has become a hallmark of righteous journalism.

Besides his relentless efforts toward the welfare of the music industry, he is also an avid philanthropist. He is constantly involved in assisting the school for the blind. Has successfully raised sizeable amounts of funds to support the victims of various natural calamities. Has generously donated funds and other infrastructure for the purpose of building and upkeep orphanages, ashrams, schools, and hospitals. He has been awarded many medals of honor both by the Government of India and Karnataka.

Mr. Thulasiram Naidu is on the Governing Council of RIMSR.
