ENTREPRENEURIAL DEVELOPMENT

  • RIMSR trained 2,600 Students from various Engineering Colleges located in Karnataka on "Business Essentials" using Level I of the "Business Simulation Game."  The participants had great time playing the business game as they could learn and understand the building blocks of business.

  • The faculty of these colleges had great words for the "Business Simulation Game" as they felt the game helps exposing participants to real-life business situations and makes them understand the nuances of a successful business enterprise.

  • Apart, 2,300 more students pursuing Commerce, and Management Programs participated in the Business Simulation as part of "Entrepreneurial Development Program."

  • In September, RIMSR conducted a 3 day camp at Hegadadevana Kotte, a hamlet in the Mysore District and trained 175 rural high-school students on basic digital skills.  In the second phase, the very same students will be exposed to financial and business skills.

  • In early October, 125 students underwent training on digital skills in Nonavinakere Village, Tiptur Taluk, Tumkur District.

  • 90 students from St. Ann's Indian English School, Bangalore Rural were trained on "Computer Literacy" for four days.  The students were exposed to word processing, spread-sheet preparation, power point presentations, and preparing publicity materials using MS Publisher.

  • CSR OF RIMSR

A small assistance to the parched fellow humans:

RIMSR sank a bore-well in a parched village in Agathagowdanahalli, Gundlupet Taluk, Chamrajnagar District. A humble contribution out of its resources.

  • DIGITAL-FINANCIAL-BUSINESS LITERACY

RIMSR trained 1200 high-school students from schools located in rural and semi-urban places.  This apart, 150 students of  St.Antony’s Higher Secondary School, Kurubarahalli, Bangalore were exposed to Level I of DIGITAL-FINANCIAL-BUSINESS LITERACY PROGRAM.

Dr. Sujatha, Director, extended her thanks to RIMSR.  While doing so, she felt the need for making such skill-building programs compulsory for all the students pursuing higher-secondary education, as the program empowers the students to be "independent," and "job-worthy/ job-ready" when they pass out of the 10th grade.

  • SKILL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

Skilled Personnel in China is 45%, in Australia 60%, in the UK 68%, in Germany 74%, in Korea 96%, and in India 2%.  When it comes to rural and semi-urban places (where 70% of our population live – that is about 840 million people), Skilled Personnel are less than 0.2%.

To solve this crisis in Human Development, the Government of India has expressively articulated a policy named “National Skill Qualification Framework;” a scheme of the National Skills Development Corporation to produce skilled workforce.

RIMSR felt it necessary to do its might to alleviate this deficiency through capacity building of the youth by offering “Skill Development/Enhancement Courses” to students at affordable costs.

One such most useful learning intervention is the “DIGITAL/ FINANCIAL - BUSINESS LITERACY PROGRAM” backed by training in TALLY ACCOUNTING SOFTWARE to students in higher-secondary schools to become job-ready, and employable.

Scholarships are available to the socially-economically challenged students.
